I liked it!
This novel really steams along and the sheer pace held my interest throughout.
The style is very chatty and carried by quite a lot of dialogue so we are plunged into the action all the way.
We go back in time a little, and it is set around the Manchester area, so familiar for me. When Mandy discovers that her best friends husband, Rod, is actually in love with her, her whole life is turned upside down. As they both try to break away from their unhappy marriages, we are taken along a completely different route to many books of this genre.
Rather than follow the thoughts and feelings of the wronged parties, we are instead persuaded to root for the couple who are having the affair, so the novel is totally original in this aspect.
Hats off to the author for this bravery!

fast movin' train is the story of Amanda Radcliffe, an interior designer who finds herself revisiting a past love...in spite of the fact that she has a spouse and three children. She must take many lives into account and handle many difficult decisions as she tries to find a way to be happy.

A heartfelt, sweet story, this book will take you on the emotional roller coaster ride of a woman who steps out of her comfort zone in order to take a chance and follow her heart. I haven't read a romance novel in years, but this one was a great re-introduction to the genre. The author does a wonderful job of portraying the true emotions of someone in this situation, including passion, guilt, excitement, dread , and worry.

Pam always writes about difficult subjects, but what she writes about is shared my many. Her ability to convey very profound thoughts and feelings in the way that she does, makes this book even more remarkable. Not only is this a wonderful novel to read, but the subject that she tackles takes us in to unknown territory in a very sensitive yet compelling way. The relationship between Mandy and Rod is unforgettable and so intoxicating. This is a book I highly recommend, I couldn't put it down.
