I absolutely love this book. Not only is it well written, well organzized and thought out, but as the title suggests, it's just about everything you need to know in a nutshell. It's obvious that the author is extremely knowledgeable and knows what she is talking about. The personal stories she shares about "real" patients she has actually taken care of, helps you to realize just how important the information is that she has just given you. She has taken the information you would normally get from multiple textbooks and taken out all the filler information (typically thrown in just so that they can make the books larger and charge more money)and she has given you the abridged version. What you get in this book is all the "important" stuff! What you really need to know! She has covered just about every medical emergency that anyone will see if they are working in Emergency Medicine and she has given you all the facts! She covers just about everything from giving you the Definition to the Causes, Signs and Symptoms and the Interventions! I'm very glad that I purchased this book and I Highly recommend it to anyone who is involved with Emergency Medicine, even those in the pre-hospital setting, such as EMT's and Paramedics could very well benefit from the knowledge they would gain by reading this book.
