I bought and read the first edition of this book some years ago. It is a classic. It's loaded with practical, everyday useful tips and useful instruction that effectively transfers the authors years of experience and expertise to the reader in an interesting, fun, and sometimes funny way. It makes you want to run right out to the airport and jump into your aircraft to try out your new thing or skill enhancement drawn from this book's pages. On those "severe clear" days you will want to do nothing but get airborne. It is one of those "Joy of Flying" kind of books that has helped many a pilot to reinforce or recapture that shear joy of flight that has pilots being more closely related to poets and song writers than they ever before thought.
