Ryan Armstrong ex-goalkeeper, now a sports agent a millionaire and womaniser, although he never had more than one woman at a time, he was never with a woman more than a couple of months, and while he was with them he was faithful. At thirty eight he was happy with his life. Every Friday three in the afternoon his solicitor Laura always came to go over contracts with him, although he could see she was an attractive woman she deliberately hid behind severe business suits with her hair scraped back in a very unflattering style, her manor was ice cold, she was the epitome of an ice queen. But this week she appeared rattled, curiosity got the better of Ryan and he could not resist asking what's wrong. It seemed ice cold Laura has told her sick Grandmother (who by the way was keen to see Laura married) that Ryan was her boyfriend, but worse Granny wants to meet him this weekend. Surprisingly Ryan agrees he is intrigued, plus he was raised by his Grandmother so he has a soft spot for Grannies. When they arrive at Laura's family home where her aunt and uncle live with her Grandmother. They are shown to a bedroom that they are expected to share. Well that night the obvious happens, and Ryan thinks that Laura will jump at the chance of a short term relationship with him.
Although there is not much plot to this story, plus it is a well used one, the athor's writing kept it fresh and me turning the pages. I enjoyed this book the characters were very well defined and the emotion and passion is very well portrayed. A thoroughly entertaining read.

This ebook had me reading as fast as my eyes could read! I will not give any spoilers but let me tell you this one and had me laughing, gasping and crying! The love scenes were passionate and well detailed. Story line was not your usual virgin falls for boss it seemed more realistic. At the end of this story it was if i could "feel" the love. But, yes, I know it was only a story!!! Miranda Lee you did a great job writing this one!!

"The Man Every Woman Wants" is a story that reminded me of a hallmark movie with both characters doing everything to deny their attraction to one another. Laura is corporate lawyer that works for Ryan Armstrong, a sports management agent and CEO, of a company called Win-Win; he is also a retired famous goalie that has played for several international soccer clubs.

Laura and Ryan at the beginning of the book have a strictly business relationship, and a strained one at that. Ryan is a playboy with a reputation for having loving and leaving them relationships ,and he never apologized for it; Laura on the other hand is all business and buttoned up she does not approve of her boss's playboy reputation, however she is attracted to his good looks and charisma much to her chagrin. The tenuous and strained relationship between Laura and Ryan changes when Laura tells her ailing grandmother about the "new guy" in her life which she names as being Ryan Armstrong; the little white lie Laura tells to her granny in an effort to easy her grandmother's anxiety about Laura being alone and without a mate when she dies turns into a really big problem when her grandmother recovers. Laura is now in a panic because her grandmother has remembered what Laura has told her about Laura's "new guy" and she wants to meet the new man in her grand-daughters life.
Laura is now stuck between a rock and a hard place because she can't admit the lies she has told her grandmother and she can't let on to Ryan that she has made him a part of her tall tales. However, once Ryan finds out about what his quiet and stern attorney has been up to the rules of the relationship changes.

I absolutely loved this book because both characters where humorous and sarcastic and wrapped in all of that is this underling attraction that they both try to fight, but the more they fight it the harder it becomes for them to distinguish between the fantasy constructed for a little old lady and the reality of their true relationship. The dialogue between Ryan and Laura made me laugh a few times because as many differences as they had, they had as many similarities that made them attracted to one another. In the end Ryan and Laura are two lonely people that found each other despite the fact that they weren't looking and the least receptive to one another. I read this book in a day in a half and liked it from beginning to end it's definitely a book I would recommend. Happy Reading!!!!!
