Arranged by state, each site features a photo, a description of what's there, a schedule, the admission fees, special events, and directions on how to get to it. Contact information (addresses, phone numbers, email/internet info) is also provided. And, as usual, there are about a hundred discount coupons enclosed. Anyone interested in railroading or who plans on taking a vacation trip that might include visits to railroad sites or museums will find this guide indispensable.

This book has been an evolution of change culminating on the best, most compact and informative book for full scale train enthusiast locations ever. On a single page you can find the location of the site, the rolling stock, a rating (average, or Editors's Choice), what amenities are available, etc., etc. On the first page of any given state, there is a map of that state an where the relative sites are. This latter is especially helpful when you want to visit a site and later realize that there was another interesting site just a while away from the first site you went to. Great book. I wish the group would continue to publish new editions.
