This book, Elizabeth Arden was a good book. The book emphasized her career from working for other people to leading the cosmetic industry. Elizabeth Aredn came form a middle class background in Ontario, Canada and became a world wide industrial giant through her determination to succeed in business. I enjoyed reading how the manufacturing of cosmetics products grew to millions of doallars earned per year. Elizabeth Arden was so committed to success, that her life focused on her work. Her career took presidence over her marriage to Tom Lewis, which ended in divorce. Arden is attributed to the daily use of eye shadow and mascara by ordinary women in the United States. She is also a major contributor to the development of foundations designed to match a person's skin tone. Students studying the history of make-up use in America would benefit from ths read. As well as any person interested in the women's movement during a time when men dominated all areas of business and manufacturing. Elizabeth Arden climbed the career ladder all the way to to the top and made everyone more beautiful in the process.
