Mit "Eleven on Top" hat sich Janet Evanovich mal wieder selbst übertroffen. Ich kam aus dem Lachen gar nicht mehr raus und habe das Buch praktisch in einem Rutsch durchgelesen. Obwohl - oder gerade weil - Stephanie ihren Job als Kopfgeldjägerin gekündigt hat und nach einigen urkomischen "Zwischenjobs" nun offiziell für Ranger arbeitet, gerät sie von einer Katastrophe in die nächste. Ihre verrückte Oma ist auch wieder dabei genauso wie explodierende Autos und knisternde Szenen mit Ranger. Die Stephanie Plum Reihe gehört zu meinen Lieblingsbücher und dieses hier ist eindeutig eines der besten. Kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Zugegeben, zuerst war ich skeptisch, nachdem ich den Klappentext gelesen hatte. Stephanie Plum gibt ihren Job als Bounty Hunter auf??? Mit einem gewissen Bedauern begann ich die Lektüre...
Doch schon bald zeigte sich, dass auch alle anderen Jobs, die Stephanie im Laufe des Buches annehmen darf, durchaus unterhaltsam sind und - soviel darf verraten werden! - stets in einem flammenden Finale gipfeln. :-)
Ein hinterhältiger Stalker verfolgt Stephanie - doch angesichts der anstehenden Hochzeit ihrer Schwester, der Unternehmenslust von Grandma Mazur, ihrer ungeklärten Beziehung zu Morelli und Ranger, und des ehrgeizigen Vorhabens ab sofort keinen Zucker mehr zu sich zu nehmen, erscheint dieses Problem beinahe marginal zu sein...
Wie für einen richtigen Evanovich-Roman üblich habe ich an zahlreichen Stellen laut gelacht - sehr zum Amüsement und / oder Unverständnis meiner Umwelt! ;-)
Mrs. Evanovich, wann gibt es den Nachschlag????

Pünktlich zum Beginn des Sommers erscheint der mittlerweile elfte Stephanie-Plum-Roman von Janet Evanovich und auch diesmal werden die Fans nicht enttäuscht. Zwar entscheidet Stephanie zu Beginn des Buches, dass das Leben als Kopfgeldjägerin vielleicht doch nicht so ganz das richtige für sie ist, doch ihr Leben wird dadurch weder einfacher noch langweiliger. Die Suche nach einem alternativen Job gestaltet sich recht turbulent und außerdem erhält Stephanie seit einiger Zeit mysteriöse Drohungen, die nichts gutes ahnen lassen.

Nach dem etwas schwächeren "Ten Big Ones" kehrt Janet Evanovich mit "Eleven On Top" wieder zu alter Form zurück. Zwar ist das Buch nicht ganz so spannend wie "To The Nines" (bisher mein Favorit der Serie), aber überaus unterhaltsam und der perfekte Begleiter für einen heißen Sommertag am Strand oder im Schwimmbad.
