From the book reviews:
“This is a comprehensive reference on muscular diagnosis and a classification of head, neck, spinal regions, shoulder, and upper/lower pathology of the 4 extremities. … Thanks for the opportunity to review this excellent source for all of those who want a description of diagnostic strategies, treatment planning, case management, to avoid enumerated malunion, dysfunction, osteonecrosis, or other complications from the entire field of Orthopaedics from the Indian and European standpoints.” (Joseph J. Grenier, Amazon.com, October, 2014)“The editors present 10 thoughtful and concise chapters in 127 pages, which makes the book efficient and easy to get through as well as enhances its use as a quick reference. This book will be well received by surgeons developing their arthroscopic skills and practice in elbow arthroscopy … . The editors should be applauded for creating a book that should be in every academic library at sites where elbow arthroscopy is performed.” (Mark R. Hutchinson, Doody’s Book Reviews, October, 2013)
This book stems from the decision by the Education Committee of The International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) to charge the editors, Luigi Pederzini, Marc Safran, and Greg Bain, with the task of describing the basic techniques and the more advanced aspects of elbow arthroscopy with a view to encouraging surgeons to follow safe guidelines and to better understand procedures of varying difficulty.
The authors are respected experts and pioneers in elbow arthroscopy and provide perspectives from North America, Australia, and Europe. They have in common the ability to teach complex procedures in a simple way.
This book will be invaluable in assisting the developing surgeon to perform elbow arthroscopic surgery to best effect. For the experienced surgeon, it will serve as an excellent reference and source of information on the latest developments. Finally, for the academic surgeon it poses stimulating challenges to advance elbow surgery into a new era.
