I collect paper dolls and of course, I've got some more from Tom Tierney and think, his books are fantastic. In this book he shows some costumes from the Edwardian Era. The costumes are presented by the paper dolls Lady Beatrice and Lord Philip.
Each of the dolls has 8 costumes and they're looking fine. Especially Lady Beatrice's gowns are fantastic. She also has different hairdos on her gowns.
The costumes cover the time from 1879 to 1910 and you also get an good explanation from every costume and -like in every Tom Tierney Book- an explanation about the Edwardian Era itself.
The dolls are printed on fine thick paper, but the dresses are printed on lightweight paper. If you like to cut them out, you have to glue them on thicker paper, so they will last longer.
This book is very good and it`s cheap, but they`re could have been more costumes. That`s why I chose to give only four stars.
If you`re into paper dolls or would like to know more about History of Costumes, you should buy this book.
