I was shocked at the previous reviews but then realized that such reviews were not written to be taken seriously. Anywho, just wanted to add my two cents worth in the mix.
This book is geared towards beginners. However, that does not mean you will be given the watered down versions. These TABS are the note for note versions. What makes it suitable for beginners is the learning tool. These songs aren't that difficult to play. You will need some chops but you did not have to be a speed demon to play these songs. Each songs normally would take about a week to learn them completely but about a half a day to learn the main riffs. yet the solos may take a day longer.
In short, you get the complete song note for note with practice tracks. These classics rocks songs are good and fun to play but not complicated. If you work your way through these songs then you should be considered intermediate player who should be ready for much faster songs and more techniques such as finger tapping, sweep picking, and finger picking...
Without such techniques, songs would be classified as easy easy to intermediate.

Yeah, I had noticed during a search that this book recieved one star. Well, that ain't fair; I'm going to give it four stars. I mean it's got Brown Sugar tabbed out and is accurate. Vocal track? I don't remember that..See, some people shouldn't do drugs. Ha! And for the guy that gave it as a gift and the punk kid says" you can get it off the internet for free." One, it's in bold print so it's easier to read, plus you get the CD, can't get those free. However, was funny..get the kid coal get time in his Christmas stocking, ungrateful little brat.

Who at Alfred decided to produce these tracks with "vocals"? It's so distracting listening to the a-tonal vocalist who never quit hits a note that the joy of learning new material is completely destroyed. Stick with Hal Leonard when it comes to guitar play-a-long's.
