I picked up a golf club for the first time just a few short weeks ago. The confusing jargon, the mountain of rules and all the "advice" I've received from EVERYONE who finds out that I'm learning the game has been overwhelming. Gary does a fantastic job of breaking down a difficult game...without making me feel like a moron. I appreciate his humor and his suggestions really do work! I wish there were more tips for women golfers and left-handers, but overall, this book is more than worth the price!

Is a great golf book that covers all the important aspects of the game for the beginner. Includes how to choose the best clubs and golf equipment based upon your skill level and strength. In addition, Gary McCord advises the new golfer when playing on the course, when to use which club and how to get your best shot in an easy to understand format.

"Dry grips, this is one of the most important things to have in wet-weather golf. I once had a club slip out of my hands on the driving range and go through a snack shop window. I blamed it on an alien spacecraft", quips McCord.

Even though I found this book to hilarious, it contains a wealth of information for all levels of golfers. In fact, it has many useful tips and suggestions for low-handicappers. Don't let the title fool you. You don't have to be dumb to read and enjoy this book, as it provides useful insight for the novice of golf from the perspective of a seasoned PGA Pro and Coach.

Great book for anyone--beginners or middle handicappers...
I loved this book. Gary keeps us entertained at the same time he gets our golf game in shape.

Buy it--you won't be disappointed.

2nd Edition is excellent
