Out of 9 of the songs, only 3 of them are on 6 strings... That, for me, is the biggest bummer. The three songs that are on a 6 string are The Looking Glass, Surrender to Reason, and Along for the Ride. All other songs are on 7 strings... Also,im a little bit disappointed they switched from Alfred to Hal Leonard. Well not completely because Alfred uses recycled paper now, and this book is NOT in recycled paper. The reason why I like Alfred more, is because at the bottom of the page it tells you what song it is, and what page out of how many pages the whole song is, like say "Best of Times - 28 - 8" so with this book you actually have to use the table of contents... and this hal leonard book has no pictures, while Black clouds and silver linings did have a few, not of the band though.
Now about the accuracy... Very, very, very accurate... This book is done by the same people that have been doing the Dream Theater books since 2005 and the three dethklok books, and others like disturbed, and a new pantera play along book that is coming out within the next month on amazon. These guys are great at what they do, and even that i dont have a 7 string myself, though i hope to get one soon, i got this because i love the transcribers, and the album, so i thought it was worth it... and a few riffs can be played on a 6 string in E standard, like the intro to Behind the Veil... if you have a 7 string, or even if you dont have a 7 string, and love Dream Theater and this album, you should get this book :) worth the $20 i spent.... and shipping was lightning fast, ordered it the 15th, and said it should come the 19th, got it the 17th, so very surprised and happy :)
