This book does strange things to you... You read it in one draught, because its story is so suspensefull, and the next day you remember next to nothing of it. Yet at the time of reading, everything seems crystal clear... Your cognitive processes become warped, altered to fit the twisted passage of thought of PKD.
Even though this book has almost nothing to do with VALIS, they produce this same effect on you, as if you had drunk absinthe.

This is Dick at his best. This book is one of the most incredible novels I have ever read. I couldn't even read too much of it at one sitting because the concepts fried my brain so much, but I couldn't stop either. Only someone who was as insane as Philip K Dick was toward the end of his life could come up with insights and concepts as brilliant and moving as those presented here. The theology was incredible and the way he dissected God's mind blew me away. A must read for anyone. I have and will continue to praise this novel and recommend it to anyone interested.

Easier to read..not understand. '..Invasion' is heavy in metaphysical underpinnings. What is real and what is illusion? It's a question that's never fully answered in this novel.
Like VALIS, '..Invasion' examines Dick's encounter with an odd colored light in 1974. Dick attempts to explain what in the world happened to him. Some think these books prove he was slipping into madness. I agree. It's an entertaining book and will make you think.

Some of Dick's best work.

Dick at his best
This is by far the best of Philip K. Dick. His amalgamation of religions is incredible and eerie. Definitely worth the time in reading.
