A great read!,

Rezension bezieht sich auf: Dissecting Marilyn Manson (Taschenbuch)
Although I'm not a die-hard Manson fan, I found the book very interesting and insightful. Gavin Baddeley explores the cultural influences that turned Brian Warner into Marilyn Manson, but in a very refreshing way. Instead of the usual preoccupation with young Brian's childhood traumas or his relationship with Trent Reznor, you get to read about Hollywood stardom, Freud, KISS, Dr Seuss, the hippie era, sci-fi literature, the Decadent poets of France, Oscar Wilde, David Bowie, The Beatles, and much more! I found Mr Baddeley's obsession with the Columbine massacre a bit overdone at times, but otherwise the book was excellent. Needless to say, a must-read for fans.
