Delta Time by Hans Theessink & Terry Evans
Since emerging on the scene several decades back, this Dutchman has walked the blues walk with a fervor matched by few of his Caucasian contemporaries. And fervor aside, a pretty good job he's always made of it. Hans is joined by one half of the gospel duo that once backed Ry Cooder, along with Ry himself, on two songs. The laid back title track sets the seal for much of what follows, Ry's playing on the chilled out 'Blues Stay Away From Me' an object lesson in less is more and his distorted lines on 'How Come People Act Like That', is straight out of the Cooder textbook.
Hans holds things together with suitable restraint, his vocals meshing well with Terry Evans as he alternates between guitar and mandolin.' --Accoustic
