"Daydreaming Davey's Dinosaur Math Adventure" has a cute premise--in that it gives a few mathematical examples where the reader is asked to count the number of dinosaurs in a given picture. It also teaches a few interesting facts about the brachiosaurus and the pterodactyls dinosaurs.
The book is short and only a few mathematical examples are given. An adult could use the book to create more examples, but children get bored after reading the book, as written, a few times since they tend to memorize the examples. It is a shame that the book doesn't contain more examples of counting, as that would make it more valuable as a teaching tool.
I read this book on a Kindle, and would not recommend reading it electronically. In the electronic version, the dinosaurs often blended in with the background pictures making it difficult for an adult to count the dinosaurs. Needless to say, this made it even more difficult to teach a child how to count.

I recently ordered this book for my 4 year old daughter in hopes that I would find a book that we could read together that would not only entertain her, but also teach her something at the same time. Daydreaming Davey's Dinosaur Math Adventure engaged my daughter and not only taught her about dinosaurs, math and counting, but did it in a way that my daughter enjoy's. My daughter loved the bonus challenge at the end of the book, and I enjoyed the review of the counting and math at the end. I would recommend this book to any parent and child interested in fun, games, and learning! Great Job! We can't wait for Daydreaming Davey's next adventure!

I was so happy to see a book about MATH! There are plenty of books about letters and reading. But an early introduction to math (in such a wonderfully simple form) is going to be great for my three year old!
