I saw this book in an art museum gift shop; was being sold for approx $26.00 (as I recall). I almost bought then & there, but decided to check out Amazon for a used copy. What a deal I got! 'Curious Moments" is a TOTAL delight. This book is a window into the past -- some amazing sights. It's a look at the early 20th century -- a glimpse at how far we have come. Many photos are of people's inventions to make life easier -- some photos are shocking, some funny. I love (page 646) "Science studies the common cold" 1947 -- the photo shows a man inside a plastic covering or tent -- he can go about life and not spread his infection - I wonder how he continues to get oxygen. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a 2nd copy for a friend who is a college professor -- one course he teaches is darkroom photography -- I thought this book would be great for is students. The book is a must see.
