This is a good book, but there is not anything in here that is not already available on the web for free. If you are new to cryogenics, then I do recommend reading it, since it is written in laymans terms. The only problem is that I doubt a layman would be interested in cryogenics in the first place. I would have liked to see more technical detail in a book like this, especially since the author is more than qualified to give a technical treatise on the subject.
Also, I don't think the author spent enough time discussing the smoothing effect of surfaces that cryogenics produces even though I believe it is of vital importance. The smoothness of surfaces increases the life in highly corrosive environments and where you would have high speed moving metal parts due to reduced friction.
