If you want to start to build HTML from scratch, this is a must for you. This book contains not only basics, but also some advance information, which is enough and not too much for beginners.

In detail, this book teaches you how to make homepage people will like chapter by chapter using comprehensive examples. The only reason I give 4 stras this book is I want more advance information to enrich my homepage.

I started learning to build web pages with this book and have sinced moved into state-of-the-art WYSIWGs but - I still use html every day. You can design and construct without knowing html but it sure makes learning and understanding a much smoother and easier process. 'Creating Cool HTML 4' is without a doubt the best resource I have on my shelf. It's easy to follow, moves you smoothly through the basics to the higher planes, and covers html thoroughly. And! it's a lot cheaper than Dreamweaver.

After buying software that promised to help me create killer web sites and that were sped through the wall with a mighty heave, I got Creating Cool Html 4 Web Pages. What started out to be a real pain became a snap and almost fun with Dave's excellent text.
