Das Buch gibt einen sehr guten Überblick zum Konzept "Continuous Delivery" und was es für ein Software-Entwicklungsprojekt bedeutet. Empfehlenswert für alle technischen Projektleiter sowie Release- und Build-Manager, die Continuous Integration als erste Stufe hin zu ständigen, kurzfristigen Releases gemeistert haben und bereit für den nächsten Schritt sind. Es behandelt neben Configuration Management und Deployment-Themen auch Test und Dependency Management. Auch die notwendigen Prozesse im Projekt- und Risiko-Management werden angesprochen.Wir empfehlen als zusätzliche Literatur die entsprechenden technischen Bücher zur eingesetzten Entwicklungsplattform, wie z.B. ich habe mir das Buch besorgt, weil ich einen Einstieg in das Thema "Build-Server" (beziehungsweise "Continuous Integration Server" benötigt habe.Schon mal das Inhaltsverzeichnis ist es wert, gelesen zu werden - da drin stehen quasi die Pattern Titel für die Dinge, die man in Software-Projekten (oder Teams) richtig machen sollte. Nachdem CI-Server eine zentrale Komponente für agile Softwareentwicklung sind, ist es extrem wichtig, sich damit auszukennen. Das Buch ist eine riesige Checkliste, mit der man die richtigen Dinge aufbauen kann und mit der man sich danach selbst überprüfen kann. Die Tipps gehen dabei von Projektmanagement über automatisierte Test bis in die Codierung und ins Scripting. Alles in allem ein sehr lesenswertes Nachschlagewerk - unabhängig von speziellen Tools, die man vielleicht verwendet. Helfen Sie anderen Kunden bei der Suche nach den hilfreichsten Rezensionen
