I was really excited to find a Swahili learning tool that had the grammatical depth of TYS and that would make use of the interactive qualities of my iPad. But this ebook just embeds audio files into the regular grammar (mostly the dialogues, a couple exercises). You're not really getting much more for the extra money. There are no interactive exercises--you can't do the exercises in the ebook and get feedback, something that you can get from free apps. The "notes feature" that they recommend for doing the exercises only brings the book in line with what you can do with a print version, but an enhanced ebook should really make full use of the technology and be interactive, more like Rosetta Stone. The audio files seem to be the same ones you get in the CDs. You can't click on vocabulary words and hear them pronounced.
The print version of this book with two CDs is selling for half the price of this ebook. You could buy it and the regular kindle edition, upload the CDs to your device, and still have almost everything in this "enhanced" edition for less money. (You'd have more, actually, since you'd also have a print copy of the book).
