For anyone who's just starting out drawing manga style, this book provides useful information on colouring.
Different colouring tools are introduced. Each are explained on their characteristics and tips on using them.
The featured artists in this series are Saya Iwasaki, Hiroki Mafuyu, Ayumi Kasai, Hamlet Okinawa, Renji Murata, Kim Jyung-Tae and Houden Eizo. These artists goes through tips on their colouring process with their tools: markers, coloured ink, water colour, acrylic paint and digital colouring. Comickers Art - ist auf Englisch (bisher noch keine dt. Veröffentlichung), dennoch ist es einfach zu Verstehen. Jedes Buch hat individuelle Inhalte und ein paar Arbeiten werden in Schritt für Schritt-Anleitungen verständlich erklärt (hat mir bei Aquarell sehr geholfen).
Die Arbeiten sind atemberauben, und es gibt im jeden Buch Interviews mit Mangakas.
4 Sterne - da es auf englisch ist und dadurch vielleicht nicht für jede Person verständlich ist.
Sonst: ein absolutes Muss für angehende Mangazeichner!

Great book for "advanced" beginners

For the title of my review...I believe it helps to know who this is good for. This is based soley on my own personal view of my ability, so that you may gauge it for yourself.
I am a self taught artist and believe I need no further skill development in many areas of artistic creation. That said, Comickers Art is a great book and worth the money I paid for it.
This book covers the basics of many materials, styles, procedures and methods. It is great information for those who already have a good foundation in artistic talent but are always on the lookout to learn the ways of others in hopes of being more efficient, or just learning new ways.
Comickers Art books are for refining skills and knowledge and is not meant to teach you how to draw. These books showcase beautiful and genuine artwork and talent from the east.
I am a self taught artist and believe I need no further skill development in many areas of artistic creation. That said, Comickers Art is a great book and worth the money I paid for it.

This amazing book increase artists' knowledge by informing them of varies materials that artists can use. It provide wonderful instructions and illustrations. I'm speechless at the detail. I recommend this to anyone who is interested in art (or generally anyone).
