This book was a disappointment, to say the least. I was unable to view the book before I bought it because all of them came pre-packaged. But I bought it anyway because the cover looked impressive. BIG MISTAKE. $85 is WAY too much to pay for this book. Most of the text is not directly related to the actual photos, and the photos were pieced together in a rather haphazard fashion. Fielder put in some B&W photos and some color. He couldn't seem to make up his mind which to use so he put in both in a seemingly random manner. In addition to this, Fielder really didn't do the best job of matching the photos. Most of the photos were not taken from the "exact" location that Jackson stood, as Fielder claims. In fact, a number of them were off by quite a bit. It seems clear that Fielder rushed this book out to press and didn't take the time to do a really quality job. If you're going to charge the customer this much for a book, you owe it to them to give them a much higher quality product. Sorry Johnny, but Colorado 1870-2000 gets Two Big Thumbs Down.
