Kurzbeschreibung

The first 2 editions of this book established it as a standard textbook for physiotherapy and manual therapy students. Originally co-authored by Bogduk and Twomey there is now a single author - Nikolai Bogduk. An understanding of the clinical anatomy of the lumbar spine and sacral area is now acknowledged as being an essential foundation for all practitioners working in the field of back pain management. This book aims to provide that foundation on which an understanding of the various treatment and therapy techniques of the different specialties involved can be built. In one volume it provides all of the elements of anatomy and biomechanics which are clinically relevant to the study of lumbar spinal pain. It has been designed for use by physiotherapists, medical practitioners and other therapists and practitioners involved in the management of back pain.

A must-have for anyone that deals with back pain! 29. Februar 2008
Von David Evans - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch
This book, by one of the worlds most highly regarded experts in the field of spinal pain management and clinical anatomy is my favourite text relating to low back pain (a close second is Gordon Waddell's 'The Back Pain Revolution', which has a different focus). I have bought every edition of this text since the second, and it keeps getting better and better through the addition of relevant research findings and additional chapters. Anybody familiar with Bogduk's impressive research background will see that the author knows enough to make this text extremely complex, however, he shows his thorough understanding of the subject by making the contents comprehensive yet very accessible, whilst maintaining the precision that has become his hallmark. It is not expensive compared to other books in the field and the diagrams help to make potentially complex topics even more accessible. If I could give the book 6 stars, I would.

Clinical Anatomy of Lumbar Spine 12. Februar 2007
Von Joseph J Grenier - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch|Von Amazon bestätigter Kauf
Good short book on clinical anatomy and mechanics of the lumbar spine. Very little on pathophysiology. Discusses abnormal movements and rotations contributing to herniated discs. Clinical Biomechanics of the Spine by White/Panjabi and Benzel's Biomechanics of Spine Stabilization are better and more comprehensive.

Bogduk gets straight to the facts in a clear and succinct fashion. An outstanding reference for practitioners involved in Musculoskeletal Medicine, Orthopaedics, and Anatomy.
