Clay Carmichael is the award winning author-illustrator of the picture books Bear at the Beach, Used-Up Bear and Lonesome Bear (North-South Books/Nord-Süd Verlag), which have been translated into many languages. Her novel Wild Things was an American Library Association Notable Book and recipient of many other awards and honors (www.claycarmichael.com), and will soon be published in Korean as well as German. She lives in the U.S. with her sculptor-husband Mike Roig (www.mikeroig.com), and is presently at work on a novel for young adults.
