I'm a pediatrics intern, and bought this book for my Kindle. It is jam packed with extremely useful information that I can use at the bedside. The table format makes it so easy to read...I don't have to weed to through pages and pages of prose to get to what I want. I HIGHLY recommend this book for any trainee in Pediatrics. I even saw one of my attendings using it!! EXCELLENT handbook!!

This is the first pediatric handbook to cover peds and neo well. It is so easy to use right at the bedside. Truly a bedside reference. This book is easy to navigate with great format and very practical info. I actually use this on call (unlike the Harriet Lane). I use it all the time. This is a must for students or anyone in the field of pediatrics. Great tool, great book!

The Texas Children's Pediatric handbook is essential for any pediatric resident on the wards or in clinic. My Harriet Lane is gathering dust as this book is a replacement and more. It has a great section on antibiotics which goes over each type of antibiotic and what it covers. It also has an amazing table of gram negative, gram positive, anaerobes etc and which antibiotics work best. Its fluid and electrolyte section is excellent as well. Also, the pocket card covers almost every emergency situation and will get you out of codes, seizures, asthma exacerbations, and many other emergencies without issue. Many of my fellow residents and interns have seen this book and too switched over. It's a must for anyone going into pediatrics.
