Kurzbeschreibung

Recently updated and now available in full color, the second edition of Changing the Game is a must read for anyone interested in sports. Whether you are an avid sports fan, a fantasy sports fanatic, an experienced sports bettor, a weekend warrior or an investment professional, the insightful information and revolutionary score prediction methods contained in Changing the Game will open your eyes to an entirely new way of analyzing the games you love. Changing the Game shows sports fans how to make money while following their passion — reading the sports pages; listening to sports talk radio; checking sports websites; and, watching the games and highlight shows on flat screens. It strips away the misconceptions surrounding sports betting and shows the activity for what it actually is — a legitimate game of skill that provides informed fans the chance to get off the sidelines and truly experience the thrill of the game along with their favorite players and teams. Changing the Game’s innovative Get In and Win game analysis system combines the same investment principles practiced successfully for decades on Wall Street with the cutting edge sports analytics the new generation of general managers and owners, such as the Oakland Athletics’ Billy Beane (the primary real life character in Moneyball) and Mark Cuban (the owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks), are using to get an edge over their competition. After reading Changing the Game, you will never view what is happening on the field or the court — or on Wall Street — in the same way again. You won't win all the time, no one does, but you will win more often than you lose — possibly far more often!

This book will tell you the notion of how to bet successfully, but not the details of his "successful system". To get the detail another book needs to be bought. Disappointing and boring book.

5.0 von 5 Sternen A great book for any sports better that wants to be more successful 14. Januar 2014
Von Joseph Plummer - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verifizierter Kauf
This book is wonderful. It is filled with interesting concepts and ideas. For $10, the author gives you a wealth of information. Not to mention, I sent the author an email (that he provides in the book) and he answered within a few hours with a great explanation. I will be purchasing all of the books by this author. I feel like I am able to make much better educated sports picks after reading this and I'm excited to see my results.

Edit: After 10 days of betting, I am 12-4 (75%) on NBA bets simply by using the methods outlined in this book.

5.0 von 5 Sternen *Game Changer!!* 19. August 2014
Von Peter Schroeter - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch
An excellent combination of interesting information about Wall Street, Sports, Betting, and Good Decision Making!

The section on evaluating a basketball team on possessions and efficiency was especially interesting.

This book will teach you a disciplined approach to thinking and analyzing sports information with imagination and objectivity!

I'd recommend to any sports fan!

5.0 von 5 Sternen Informative 2nd Edition 11. November 2013
Von Joseph in Portland,ME - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I read the first book and found it extremely informational. This second edition is must purchase for those wanting to keep up with Hall's ongoing analysis of the stats. Personally, I found the addition of the color charts to be a great visual aid, but that's secondary to keeping up on his cutting edge advice to those wanting to successfully bet on these games.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Even Better Than the Original! 23. Oktober 2014
Von Henry Nashed - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch
This book is even more interesting, useful and valuable than the original edition.

Mathematical principles can confuse most readers. Bill Hall uses his knowledge of the investment
markets to make statistical concepts interesting by telling stories from Wall Street and relating them to
sports games. His Score Sheets and Value Rating models are understandable and interesting and provide
a completely new way of predicting game scores and point spreads.

Better yet, his website www.bookwormsports.com contains all kinds of free information that makes
doing the calculations simple and easy. I’ve read some of the other Amazon reviews about how the book
makes promises about exceedingly high winning percentages or serves as a teaser to buy additional
services. I didn’t find that to be the case at all. In fact, it was the opposite because the book and the
website have plenty of free and useful tools that showed me how set my own course toward making
winning sports bets.

The original edition was a winner for me and the second edition is even better!
