Kurzbeschreibung

Celtic magic. These words conjure up images of Druids and mystical oak groves, daring Irish warriors, fairies, elves, and ancient deities who took an active part in the lives of the people who worshipped them. Practical and easy to understand, Celtic Magic offers important features that distinguish it from other books written about the Celts:

—An in-depth discussion of Celtic culture and customs
—A complete listing of Celtic myths and deities
—Step-by-step instructions for spellwork, ritual, meditations, and
divination to help you gain insight or make changes in your life

This friendly Celtic magic book is designed for both beginners and those who possess intermediate-level magical skills—and anyone who simply has a great interest in Celtic history, lore, and magic.

Highly Enlightening 29. Juni 2000

I was impressed with the effect this book has had on my life. It was the first one I picked up when I became interested in Wicca eight years ago. It has gotten a lot of wear and tear through the years but I still have it on my shelf to this day. I think it is very informative for beginners and those who just want to know a little bit more about a different way of life. I feel that it belongs in everyone's collection. I t may not be the most important book I own but it is very reliable and straightforward. It answers questions I had that nothing else I found would.

Ummmm....well.... 27. April 2000

This book was good for two things: 1)It was the first book I read when I started my exploration of magick , 2)The charts are alright but not the best. I began reading THE PORTAL BOOK by Ian Corrigan while I was still reading this one, and there is no comparison between the two. This book lacks a certain something...accurate info!

A great book for those who wish to learn about the ancient wiccan/celtic pagan rituals and beliefs. Full of invaluable information concerning the uses of herbs and magic. Tells of the history of wiccans and the celtic druids and how their magic is intertwined with both religion and science. Contains a table of different herbs and their uses. Teaches one how to gain money; gain love; gain protection; gain prophecies; rid yourself of negatives; bind a trouble-maker; strengthen your psychic shield; promote physical, mental, and spiritual health. Also contains the ancient written language of the celtic druids. A wonderfully informative book that I would recommend to anybody who is willing to believe.

This book has VERY, VERY few redeeming qualities
I cannot recommend this book as anything other than a cheap read to pass the time. The information in it is grossly inaccurate and on the whole a farce. Lesen Sie weiter...

Misleading title, inaccurate contents
There are Celtic magical practices that have been handed down over generations--but you won't learn about them in this book. Lesen Sie weiter...

Quite misleading, actually.
As far as the research of this book goes, it is quite poor in that it contains many inaccuracies about the Celtic relgion. You see, Wicca is *not* Celtic! Lesen Sie weiter...

Not Up To Llewellyn's Standards
I have ready many good books published by Llewellyn, This is not one of them. This book is not a good reference on Celtic ways. Lesen Sie weiter...

A simple "how to" treatise with a Celtic flavor
This is NOT a scholarly work on the ancient Celts or Druidism. What it is is a primer on Wicca which incorporates celtic imagery and names for ritual visualization, atmosphere, and... Lesen Sie weiter...

Deserved ZERO stars ....
This is the WORST book I have ever read about Celtic "magic". Not only is it trite and poorly-researched, it is almost the same book as her "Norse Magic". Lesen Sie weiter...

A wonderful book!
Celtic magic is a very good book, and it deserves all the stars it can get! I would reccomend it for anyone even the slightest bit interested in Celtic magic.

The second exercise is much the same, but uses a picture instead of a candle. Choose a picture that pleases you. Tarot cards are especially good for this. Stand or hang the picture at a comfortable level and look at it for some time. Close your eyes and see if you can discern a mental image against your eyelids. Hold that image as long as you can. "e;
