A Registered Nurse recounts her true story of internet addiction and romance. In 1995, Grace (Sunshine44), was involved in an auto accident which resulted in neck surgery. During her recovery period, Grace became addicted to AOL. During that period of time, AOL was in the beginning stage of being one of America's largest Internet providers. When purchasing a new personal computer, most of the boxes contained a CD-ROM which gave the new user, 10 FREE HOURS. After the ten free hours were used up, the consumer was on their own--at the rate of $2.95 an hour! The reader will experience the addiction as Sunshine44 writes about the hours she spent on line, her travels to meet the men she had met via the computer and the chaos it brought to her otherwise very normal life.
Über den Autor
Sunshine44 is a Registered Nurse and mother of four grown daughters. The author lived in the Daytona Beach area during the time she wrote her story but she currently lives in the St. Louis area. She works part time as a nurse. The author also maintains a web site with an active blog which can be found by going to www.FindingRomanceOnline.com The author and nurse, has also published a book related to anxiety, Just Erase It. The book shares with the reader a spiritual approach to manage anxiety.

A HONEST DOWN TO EARTH READ THAT MANY CAN RELATE TO. AS I READ THIS CAPTIVATING BOOK I FELT I WAS READING ABOUT MYSELF. MILLIONS OF PEOPLE OUT THERE HAVE OR ARE LIVING THE WEB ADDICTION. IS ADDICTION TOO STRONG OF A WORD TO USE, I THINK NOT. SUNSHINE44'S WORDS NOT ONLY KEPT ME INTRIGUED BY HER STORY BUT MADE ME REALIZE THAT OTHERS OUT THERE LIVED, BREATHED & BASED THERE WHOLE HAPPINESS AND EXISTENCE ON THOSE MOMENTS THROUGH THE NET THAT BROUGHT LAUGHTER, HAPPINESS, TEARS, AND SHARED INTIMACIES TO THERE REAL LIVES FOR NOT ONLY A ESCAPE BUT COMFORT .I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STORY TO OTHERS SO THEY MAY NOT ONLY SEE HOW THE NET SEEPS INTO OUR LIVES BUT HOW IT CAN HOLD A TREMENDOUS HOLD AND ADDICTION TO SOMEONES LIFE. I typically would not have picked up a book of this nature on my own, but when asked by a neighbor to read it, I started it and couldn't put it down. I found the book to be a fascinating, but deeply honest story of actual events told from the author's heart. The author deserves great respect for being willing to put her life story in black and white for everyone to read. Moreover, the book serves as a reminder to us all that anything that captivates your attention full-time can be a dangerous thing to yourself and those around you. After you read this book, you will be glad you invested a little bit of time and money for the unique literary experience if offers. Highly recommended!
