I am a professional in the field of career consulting, but this book is strongly recommended for everyone from high school age until retirement. I found the book to be innovative and engaging. It uses real life case studies to demonstrate how the careers or even any work related background of one's close family influence motivations and career choices.
This book is sure to provoke lots of thought about your own family occupational background, or 'career DNA' as the author puts it. I definitely know I gained quite a few insights about my own path reading through this book.
Besides all that, it's a good and interesting read. Do not expect trite recipes or quick fixes for your own career. From my experience, such books would only disappoint you. Instead, read this book with an open mind and let the answers and insights rise naturally, as well as new questions, they would also rise for sure.
I personally know quite a few people to whom this book helped tremendously in their personal career paths. Absolutely 5 out of 5!
