If you are unfamiliar with Ken Wilber's work, this is an excellent place to start. The book is written in the form of a dialogue which makes it lighter reading than most of Wilber's books. The reader is guided from one fundamental concept to another and provided with a clear and understandable introduction to Wilber's AQAL - All Quadrants, All Levels - model and at the same time learns about various thinkers and schools of thought, their achievements and shortcomings.
The strength and great virtue of Wilber's method is that he integrates the positive contributions of leading edge thinkers and visionaries from both East and West. He also offers us a model which allows us to integrate Body, Mind and Spirit in our own conceptual understanding of life and the Kosmos.
The Integral Model has enormous potential and is being implemented in a broad spectrum of fields - see the online resources of the Integral Institute - and the Integral Life Practice set is a priceless tool for those of us who wish to adopt an integral approach to life and engage actively in transformative practice. I strongly recommend it.
