Tired of endless diets and dieting for weight loss or less medication? Want a health therapy that is based on exact goals (with numbers to achieve!) that provide a guarantee of ideal health and absence of chronic disease and symptoms? Want to know more about the method that was used for the best ever known clinical trial on cancer and 6 most effective trials on asthma?

If you answered yes to some or all of these questions, you are on the right page.

You can eat tons of supplements and super foods, drink canisters of super drinks, have 100's of colonic irrigations, and practice yoga for hours every day, but, if your breathing remains unchanged, your symptoms, chronic insomnia, and other health problems will likely to remain unchanged too.

This is because breathing brings vital oxygen, and less than 95% of modern people have right breathing. Modern people, including so called “normal subjects”, simply breathe too much air day and night. (Exact charts, graphs, studies and numbers are inside the book). Overbreathing reduces O2 levels in cells.

The most successful clinical trial in the whole history of cancer research was conducted using the Buteyko breathing method. The results of this trial on 120 people with metastatic cancer (early metastasis) were published in the Ukrainian Oncology Journal. The group that practiced reduced breathing exercises had 6 times less mortality in 3 years in comparison with the control group.

Here is another fact: 6 most effective Western clinical trials on asthma were conducted using the same Buteyko method that targets elimination of chronic hyperventilation. Diets, yoga and any other “natural” or holistic therapy is not even remotely close to these clinical results.

What is common for cancer and asthma? Symptoms and development of these health problems correlates with O2 levels in body cells.

But this is true not only for cancer and asthma, we need more oxygen in body cells to prevent and fight over 150 most popular modern diseases! The conditions are ranging from heart disease and cancer, the main killers in the west, to hormonal and digestive problems, diabetes, and asthma. Natural weight loss is a common side effect of breathing normalization known to any Buteyko breathing teacher.

This book provides an introduction to the Buteyko breathing method and breathing retraining. For topics covered in this book, see titles of chapters and sections.

4.0 von 5 Sternen Very important information. 22. März 2014

This book gives detailed information, backed by scientific evidence, on why breathing less is important for good health. Everything is clearly explained and the information is very complete, but the reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I was expecting to read how to actually do some Buteyko exercises to help me improve my CP. You won't find that information here, but it's a great introduction to the Buteyko method.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Clear and well done 27. April 2014

I have read several of Artour Rakhimov's books and have benefited greatly. Learning to retrain one's breathing takes time and perseverance but represents one the very best investments I have ever made. I began using his Amazing DIY Breathing Device and over a period of months increased my CP (no-stress breath holding time reflecting body oxygenation) to 25-30 seconds. I then switched to his "Steps for Adults" exercise described in Advanced Buteyko Breathing Exercises and am now closing in on 40 seconds. The improvement in my health has been phenomenal.

So why am I reading an introductory book? Because you can never know the basics too well! And I am glad I did go back and read Breathing Slower and Less. While no essentials have changed it is clear that Rakhimov's understanding and ability to communicate has advanced. His earlier books were good, this one is great.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Less IS more 13. März 2014
Von Budster - Veröffentlicht auf

We have all been mislead terribly about deep breathing being good for us. The science shows the complete opposite . "The perfect man breathes as if he is not breathing." Lao Tzu ( circa 4th century BC) this book by Dr. Rakhimov gives all the research and scientific background for that statement. Reading and using the method described so well in this book could save you and your loved ones from having to suffer the consequences of poor breathing and lead to a vibrancy if health you may only have dreamed of. Even the appearing simple instruction to always breathe both in and out through your nose, which omong many things helps to reduce your breathing, could make an enormous difference as you may see searching the internet re nasal breathing. Or, just take it from George Catlin's beautifully illustrated 1870 published book free on the web , "Shut Your Mouth and Save Your Life."

5.0 von 5 Sternen Excellent guide to self-help based on understanding physiology of human breathing 18. März 2014
Von Misha Sakharoff - Veröffentlicht auf
Format:Kindle Edition|Verifizierter Kauf
This book is a very concise helper, based on profound understanding of human physiology. Artour Rakhimov has authored quite a few excellent books about establishing and maintaining physiological equilibrium through normalization of breathing patterns. His writings are based strictly on modern physiology and related teachings of prof. Buteyko. Spanning from small guidebooks to big 300-sides profound work on breathing physiology, a bible for every serious Buteyko practitioner. One of the strongest aspects about his books is the fact that (if practised correctly and thoroughly) they can change breathing not only while exercising, but 24/7. Meaning that it is actually your breathing center (medulla oblongata) that gets re-programmed to improve your health with every breath - both conscious AND unconscious. Which is very unique for Buteyko way of breathing retraining. I recommend Artour Rakhimov books to all my students. So if you want to establish and maintain better health - start with this easy but serious guide. Highly recommended, really!
