Great Little Book

I purchased this book from an Amazon Warehouse deal. This book is a great little book for times when you have only a few minutes to read and need a pick-me-up. Nothing else provides quite the same pick-me-up as truth, wisdom and direction from God's Word. This offers a verse/verses from the Bible then an example relating to everyday life or a very short story, and then a summation. I am not all the way through it, but have found it perfect reading before going to bed after a long day. There are 99 pages in this 7" by 5" book. I appreciated Randy Peterson's easy going style and sense of humor. I have found it to be relaxing and uplifting, it would be handy to keep in your desk at work, on your nightstand (where I have mine), or in your purse or briefcase as well. I would recommend this to anyone.

I seldom read books that arrange Bible promises by topic. I prefer to read the Bible itself to dig out the riches of His promises for myself. But in this small book Randy Peterson has carefully selected relative Biblical promises and written great applicable devotions to go with them. I highly encourage buying this book for those on your Christmas list that need an uplifting, go-to resource during these difficult times.

I recommend this book to everyone. It has the Bible's strongest scripture in compilation for easy reaching. When you, or someone you know, are at a low point, maybe from loosing a job,feeling quilty about something, a death, or just feeling at a tough spot in your life, grab a copy of Peterson's Bible Promises for Tough Times. It will help you understand that with God's promises and His hands around you, even the lowest, toughest times can be overcome. Definitely a must have book for everyone to fall back on. Peterson deserves 5 stars and praises for magnificent work.
