Williams' premise is simple: if it is true that animals can sense emotions--fear, for example--in humans, then why isn't the inverse also possible? She calls this concept "intuitive communication," describing it as the innate ability humans have to telepathically communicate with animals and other sentient beings throughout nature, including trees and insects. Realizing that such a notion will invariably be met with extreme skepticism, Williams presents a trove of anecdotal evidence collected from people throughout the world who have gained genuine insight into animal behavior. Indeed, it is this acceptance of initial aversion to her hypothesis that is Williams' greatest strength, for she takes pains to frankly and methodically present compelling evidence to support her claims. Working with everything from cats and dogs to bears and snakes, Williams explains how such communication works and outlines basic techniques. Ich habe sie alle gelesen, die Bücher von Penelope Smith, Amelia Kinkade, Carol Gurney, Arthur Meyers, etc. aber das Buch von Marta Williams "Beyond Words", wie auch ihr anderes "Learning their language" ist der beste Wegbereiter zur Entfaltung der eigenen Kommunikationsfähigkeit. Es enthält ungemein praktische Ratschläge und beschränkt sich nicht wie manch anderes Buch auf Anleitungen zur Meditation, die kann man auch in anderen Büchern finden. Man kann ihre konkreten Ratschläge direkt umsetzen und sieht die Wirkung sofort. Es funktioniert! Ich habe 2 Jack-Russell Terrier, ein älteres Mädchen von 13 Jahren und einen Welpen von 4 Monaten. Ich übe tagtäglich, das was Marta Williams empfiehlt und was die Erziehung des Welpen anbetrifft, so hat die von ihr erläuterte Methode mehr Wirkung als die in einer Hundeschule vermittelten Befehle! Wenn man nicht die Möglichkeit hat, viele Tierkommunikationsseminare zu besuchen, entweder weil es nicht soviele gute Angebote gibt oder weil die besten Tierkommunikatorinnen ständig ausgebucht sind oder die Seminare in Andalusien oder Südafrika stattfinden, sind die Bücher von Marta Williams äußerst hilfreich, um den Einstieg in die Tierkommunikation zu üben.

Probably most folks who will look at this book are already believers in animal communication but even for those like me who are, there is an abundance of profound and amazingly touching anecdotes in it.
My wife and I have called on Marta for help with our cats on several occasions with great success. As a direct result of reading her previous book we can now often communicate directly with them ourselves. This new book is truely a gem and whichever book you read first, you will likely end up wanting to get the other as well! They are easy to read and understand, and make great gifts! Even children who are too young to be able to read on them on their own can learn to communicate with animals; actually learn more easily than adults.
Even if you don't have a live-in companion, animals are all around us and they love it when you make deeper contact with them. If you love animals, this book is a must have!

Interesting Stories

Marta shares many interesting stories in this followup to Learning Their Language. Understanding your pet is so important, and the more we can learn about and develop positive interactive communication signals the stronger will be the bond we share with our furry family members. Being "in-touch" with
your pet is an important part of enhancing the human-animal bond, and a critical part of a successful holistic health care program. Those clients whose patients I am proud to treat who are most in-tune with their pets have the greatest successes with both preventing and treating diseases.

In this book Marta Williams carries forward the concepts described in Learning Their Language. She gives many case histories, examples of how intuitive communication has been critical in the lives of the animals whose cases are described. This is both fascinating and moving. The implications are unnerving, but worth incorporating into your world view.
