The pages can also be torn out along the peforated lines, if you choose. While most are writing exercises in this book, there are also coloring exercises. For example, one exercise features a grid of letters and directions such as "Color the Z boxes red" and "Color the K boxes green". After the child colors all the appropriate boxes, the secret message is "How many months are in a year?"
