Both films are simply perfect for true cinema lovers. No special effects, no unnecessary words, screams, sex or violence! It's just about life and love as an ordinary human being faces it. There are no heroes or villains, just an ordinary girl and an ordinary boy, that come from different realities (she's French, he's American) and together they share the most simple (and yet, beautiful) words that reflect the fear and the stress of the contemporary daily life. What will the future bring them? Do "happy endings" really happen in real life? Could our lives become a fairy tale? Life isn't easy and we can't simply follow our hearts nowadays. And these films are about REAL LIFE! I consider both films only one because the second is the necessary sequel that we've all waited for in the last 10 years. We all got older, and so did the two characters, Jesse and Céline. Were their lives perfect, just like in the movies? What about our own lives? It makes us think...a lot! Brilliant! Powerful! Graceful! There are no words that could describe this magnificent experience.
