Given the names of the writers involved with this, and given the gushing reviews in the press I rushed off and ordered this.
Three stories in I was beginning to wonder if what I understand by 'sexy' and what these famous authors understand by 'sexy' might not be two different things.
But I persevered. After all, I thought - among all those famous names, excellent writers all, there must be one who can write something at least a little sexy.
Unfortunately, dear reader, the answer is: no. Not a one of them. This book far from leaving me feeling a little frisky or titilated left me feeling cross and grumpy. I actually, against my better judgement, pushed on and read every single story.
My opinion? Save your money, save a few trees. If you want this level of 'sexy' writing find yourself some Star Trek fanfic written by teenage geeks who have never been near a real live woman.
Note: unfortunately it wasn't possible to award no stars or half a star. Sorry - that one star on the review really really should NOT be there.
