A celebration of Baroque music. The programme here recorded shows the marvellous versatility of the Baroque organ, bringing a multiplicity of genres and forms. Thus from Maurizio Croci s fingers flow the prelude and the fugue; 17th -century legacies like the canzona and the aria con variazioni; and the two principal genres of instrumental Baroque music: the sonata and the concerto, plus compositions not always born for the organ, but easily adapted for it.
