I purchased this manual when my 2006 325I went out of warranty at 50,000 miles and the prospect of a $150 oil change was looming. I paid around $84 for the book, so I figured it would pay for itself the first time we used it. I was right. Not only could my husband (who is quite handy) follow the instructions easily, there were helpful photos as well. After the oil change was complete, I found the section near the front of the manual that gave instructions on how to reset the dashboard so that my oil change mileage would register. Voila! The hardest part of the whole exercise was finding the section in the book (near the front) on how to reset everything. Once you find it, mark the page as you will use it repeatedly. I just had a flat on my runflat tire (sounds crazy, but you can't tell other than a red symbol of a tire lights up), and once again I pulled out my trusty manual to find out what it was and what to do about it. Just knowing I have a means to decipher all the messages my car can send me makes me far less nervous about owning it as it gets older. Knowledge IS power!
