Kurzbeschreibung

Inspired by Seth Godin's "Linchpin," this book takes a closer look at why and how every small business owner can break away from the competition by thinking like a Chef ("not a cook or bottle washer").

With so many "gurus" on the internet selling roadmaps and recipes that guarantee big success, it's time to refocus on your right brain, your creative side, the part of you that invents, connects others and makes remarkable things happen.
These ten guidelines help entrepreneurs remember how to do things with a rulebook.

Every new business owner wants to find and feed a hungry crowd. This short little book helps you build a solid foundation and focus on what matters.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Delicious Reading for Entrepreneurs 17. April 2012
Von Jean Bedord - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Not your usual small business marketing book! I loved the chef analogies, which were entertaining, yet practical. Tea starts with determining your Secret Sauce - the key aspect of any business, large or small. The book provides the right scale and the right attitude for creating a business that you love. Ingredient by ingredient, I'll be using the information in the chapters on "Making a Bigger Pie" and "Share Generously", with lots of tips on connecting with others using today's approaches to networking and building a business.

I'll be recommending this book to all my friends who have started their own businesses so we can feast together.

5.0 von 5 Sternen This is a MUST read for all budding entrepreneurs 2. April 2012

Format:Kindle Edition|Verifizierter Kauf
I loved this book! I only wish that it had been out years ago when I first decided to leave the corporate world and ventured out on my own. Reading "Attract and Feed a Hungry Crowd" now has given me a great insight into why my first business building attempt was so painful and long drawn out.

Tea Silvestre's recipe for building a successful business is a great read for all budding entrepreneurs. It is a delightful book that contains a wealth of helpful information and ideas on how to build a successful business. The ideas are presented in a novel way that is clear and easy to follow. The book gives a comprehensive step-by-step guide for doing the research that is so essential in the process of a business start-up, identifying the ideal customer and building business relationships.

Every new small business owner will find the book useful as the author draws on her own real life experience to provide the insight and advice that will help your business to stay afloat and thrive. It is a must read if you are thinking of turning your passion into your own business.

5.0 von 5 Sternen This book is sure to spark some new thinking! 9. April 2012
Von Becky Boyd - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Witty and fun to read, Tea Silvestre's book offers a fresh way to look at how to craft a successful, purpose-based business. Tea is skilled at guiding readers to make the jump from following someone else's recipe to "playing" (experimenting) with their own "ingredients" (talents, gifts, passions, uniqueness).

My favorite part is that this book is jam-packed with powerful exercises, including identifying your "secret sauce" and creating your "signature dish". The creative presentation make them all the more fun, evoking a lighter, playful approach to tackling some very necessary topics when starting, marketing, and operating a business of your own.

Don't miss this one. Especially if you find yourself stuck in defining your business, this book will inspire you out of a rut!

5.0 von 5 Sternen Devour this book, then go back and savor it 2. Mai 2012
Von Pamela A. Sani - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
If, as an entrepreneur, you find yourself struggling to make your business stand out, you should treat yourself to this book. Devour it in one sitting, then go back and re-read it; savoring it slowly. Tea not only makes good use of her clever WordChef analogies, but she also manages to practice good portion control, instead of making every sentence into a recipe.

Time is always at a premium for entrepreneurs, whether established or just getting started. That being said, reading Attract and Feed a Hungry Crowd was absolutely worth the time. Chapter 3, Clarity is Power provided me with useful insight. In Chapter 6, Tea shares with us 39 ways to share yourself and your connections. This list alone was eye-opening for me; both in the things that I have been doing right as well as the things which I need to improve.

For me, the "icing on the cake" was Tea's 5 Elements to Include in Your Story-Messages as well as the 10 Types of Collaborations that Build Brands. I think that the referral partnership ideas she presents here are going to be most helpful to my jewelry business. I am looking forward to applying the things I learned and building my relationships, because as she says, they are everything.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Heaping Tablespoons of Transparency, Pinches of Humor, and Gobs of Wisdom 29. März 2012
Von Melanie Kissell - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
A savory selection for the (entrepreneurial) taste buds!

Reading Tea's "Attract and Feed a Hungry Crowd" made me realize my Secret Sauce is still a secret.

This book is all about not playing by other people's rules (someone else's recipe will NOT get you the exact same results), reaching beyond mediocrity, and setting big hairy audacious goals -- where the universe and your heart are very important participants.

Speaking the truth about who you are through your words, actions, gratitude, and meaningful stories is a main ingredient in the recipe for what Tea Silvestre is dishing up.

"Attract and Feed a Hungry Crowd" is anything but bland -- it's flavorful and mouth watering!

Tea says, "Words really do have magic in them. Use them only for good." And that's precisely what she's done. She's written a book to help entrepreneurs discover their Secret Sauce, set a beautiful table, and attract more people to their party.
