The correct title of the book is "Attacking Chess: The King's Indian" not "Attacking the King's Indian." This is no minor quibble - the King's Indian Defense is a chess opening for the black pieces. The book is promoting actually *playing* that opening with the black pieces, in the spirit of a style of play that could be called "attacking chess." It is not promoting a system for *attacking* that opening with the white pieces. Probably 50% or more of people who are interested in *playing* the King's Indian with the black pieces will simply pass over this book based on the incorrectly posted title that makes it sound like a manual for players with the white pieces. Conversely, many players who are interested in "attacking the King's Indian" with the white pieces would never attempt to play it themselves with the black pieces, so they may click on the link and then pass on the book once they see what it is actually about. So you goofed, Amazon. I recommend fixing it.
Meanwhile, I will give the book 4 stars, though I don't own it, because I know Vigorito is a good author based on his book on the Marshall Attack.

This is, of course, the second in a two volume set. When it comes to a defense to a queen's pawn opening, one tends to go queen's gambit, slav, or semi-slave, or the Indian defenses. Here, we have the King's Indian, but others, such as Nimzo Indian (I keep wondering why the Queen's Indian gets such short shrift) and the Grunfeld are obvious favorites. And yes, I keep hoping for a Bogo-Indian Defense book to come out. But it appears that after the Classical King's Indian, one has to ask, is there anything else? Answer: Yes. And one should look to this book. I have the bad habit of not spending any time exhaustively spilling out lines from a book that I comment on. Sorry, but that is my habit. I like to simply state that I feel a book deserves to be purchased. This book, as the first volume is, deserves to be purchased. It is not a challenge to follow, is entertaining, and actually of aid to the club player.
