This book is filled with art from many cultures and centuries about mothers in all stages of motherhood. It is a beautiful and profound compilation, and a new mother especially, my find comfort in recognizing how universal the experience is.

I enjoyed looking through every page of this book. The book is divided into sections--pregnancy, giving birth, breastfeeding, and so on. I really appreciated breastfeeding being included. Many colorful pictures, with background included on each artist as well as the specific artwork.
