Learn the fascinating and mysterious secrets of Ancient Egypt

Learn how Ancient Egypt began, as it’s more than just pharaohs. Ancient Egypt was ruled by dynasties, and each had pharaohs in it. The bloodlines and successions would be muddled, names would be erased from history, and names would be added.

There is more information available for some pharaohs than others, but the history of Ancient Egypt is pretty clear. Many people believe that slaves may or may not have been used in building the pyramids, but it’s a fact that Egyptians did really have slaves. So journey through ancient times and learn the importance of slavery in Egypt and how their owners still lived by morals and honor.

This book will walk you through the collapse and rebirth of Egypt up until the third intermediate period where Greek occupation would take over. The grandeur of Egypt was continuously built upon, and what most people don’t know is that it was sometimes even by a woman pharaoh.

Learn about military expeditions to foreign lands, the expansion of Egyptian boarders, dynasties and bloodlines coming to an end, and even usurping that would cause great conflict in Egypt. From being broken apart to reunifying a few times, Egypt stood tall for quite some time. This book will teach you the truth about pharaohs, slaves, and commoners, giving you a real look at Egypt’s great history.

3.0 von 5 Sternen Wrong Culture/Continent Image on Cover: 20. August 2014
Von Kelly W. Still - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
You know this is the book you want to read on Egypt when it depicts an image of a South American culture's pyramid (Aztec if memory serves me) on the front cover. As a person somewhat well versed on ancient Egyptian architecture this is a big mistake and is easily and immediately recognizable due to the ceremonial structure atop the pyramid, the angle of the steps going up the sides, as well as the large row of footsteps going up the center. I'm hoping that the author simply neglected to fact check the graphic artist that designed the cover image and this is still a worthwhile read, but I have serious doubts (I will update the review upon checking for factual information within).

1.0 von 5 Sternen The idea of a short overview of Egyptian culture is good. 30. August 2014

This is a very poorly written book with respect to grammar, spelling, and sentence structure, and I am no expert. I actually had to stop reading it for that reason. The idea of a short overview of Egyptian culture is good.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Very Intriguing 23. August 2014
Von Suspense and Thriller Lover - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verifizierter Kauf
This is a very detailed and interesting read on the many Egyptian periods. It talks about how the lived and believed. It covers myths. Talks about the pyramids and how they may have been built. it talks about the levels or different classes of people, the rise and fall and so much more. The book is very well written. This book would be perfect for, simply, an interesting read or even for a report. Nicely done.

Von James Kreinhop - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verifizierter Kauf
Being a free book, this book was over priced. I suppose it could have been valuable as a very shallow overview of Egyption history but as it is, it is more of a joke. The text is filled with grammatical errors, misspellings, miss use of words and is difficult to read because you must continually pause to try to figure out what the author was trying to say.
The author has the very annoying habit of starting a new sentence with "Though," and then continues on. It almost seems that the book was written in a foreign language and translated very badly into English. I freely admit that I am far from perfect in writing, but I did not try to write a book.
