Dirk Panhans is research associate at the Endowed Chair of International Management at WHU and management consultant at the Frankfurt office of an international top management consultancy. He developed the research model of International Expansion Strategies and thus contributed mainly to the conceptual basis of this book. He went to college at the Leipzig Graduate School of Manage-ment (HHL), the INSEAD in Fontainebleau, the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP), and the University of Bayreuth.
Thomas Aulbur is investment banker at the Frankfurt office of a leading investment bank. During his work at the Chair of International Man-agement at WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management, he conducted numerous interviews with heads of German affiliates in the U.S. and thus contributed substantially to the empirical basis of this book. He studied at WHU, Waseda University Graduate School of Commerce (Japan), and the École de Management de Lyon (France).
Markus Kurch is research associate and Ph.D. student at the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Management of Start-Ups at WHU Otto Bei-sheim School of Management. During his work at the Chair of International Management, he conducted numerous interviews with heads of German affiliates in the U.S. and thus contributed substantially to the empirical basis of this book. He studied at WHU, the Mays Business School at Texas A&M, the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Spain), and the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Chile).
