This book is essentially the photo outtakes from Sparrows' previous (and out of print)"Alfa Romeo : Legends (Colour Classics)." That book consisted of mainly photos of Alfas with the occasional semi-attractive model thrown in. It was a waste of money then and it is a bigger waste now.....

A Great Alfa Book

I was pretty surprised to read the previous post which states that the photographs in this book are "outtakes" from Sparrows' other book "Alfa Romeo Legends". Simply not true! I own both books, and each photograph in this book is truly superb, both artistically and technically. There are eight chapters:
1. Alfa & Alfa Romeo
2. The First Production Alfas
3. A Small Car From Alfa Romeo
4. The Stalwart Giulias
5. The Famous Spiders
6. The Alfasud Family
7. The Alfetta/GTV Family
8. Under The Fiat Umbrella
Each chapter is concisely written and to the point - no overload of technical information, so that it's a breeze to read, and entertaining as well. But the photographs are the star of this book - each one skillfully composed for wonderful effect. If you're into Alfas, I'd recommended getting a copy while you can.
