Newly revised 3rd Edition!
Alexander is in exile again on Pantrixnia. After over a decade of power and war, he's simply too dangerous to have around, and too dangerous to leave alone. The Methuselans have been watching, and now that Alexander is out of the way they are ready to absorb the Galactic Federation. It's exactly what the Kempec Mystics feared. The Methuselans are a brilliant race governing an empire that spans a third of the galaxy. They are here to enlighten barbaric empires like Terra and Chem and move them towards the a Methuselan utopia. After all, as the oldest race in the galaxy the Methuselans know best; and they're too powerful to resist.
Does Alexander still have a place in the galaxy? Even if his fears turn out to be true what can he do as an exile against the largest empire the galaxy has ever known?

A great escape into a new world. Exactly what fiction should be! Heroes,

This series continues to improve. Please read the first Alexander Trilogy before this book. You will enjoy the characters and story as they both develop. I was unable to put down the last to books. The new world created for the story line draws from our development as a species; our conflicts and how we SHOULD be dealing with them.

Alexander is an example of what we should be striving to become. Honor, chivalry, and strong faith are alive and well within the Overload and his cohorts. Stand up and be counted. If you have never experienced a man worth befriending, search for your Alexander.

The author is refreshing in his combination of military, history and the strong ideals of the conflict between leeches and the Champions we need who fight them. We have someone willing to speak to those of us who agree that the world is just to PC.

My only regret with this series: waiting for the next book.

For those less versed in history: the title of this review is from Julius Caesar's report of victory in 47 B.C. over Pharnaces, king of Pontus. A counterpoint to the quotes the author uses from great men in history.

After reading the trilogy, several times, I was sadden to think that there would be no more Alexander in my life. But then i ran across the exile sequel, downloaded it and read it the same day. As with the trilogy i couldn't put it down the excitement and action goes from the first to the last page. Exile answers some questions I had from the previous books, ie Nazeera's child with Bureel. I truely enjoyed this book and anxiously look forward to the next Alexander saga.

This book leaps a decade or so into the future from where the last book in the Alexander Galaxus series ended. Unfortunately it starts of in a completely ludicrous way. As the book blurb states Alexander has been exiled...again. Not only that but the Terran presidency have been taken over by some total a--hole Marxist president who, of course, is about to screw the humans over...badly. The second of this plot elements is just not fun and just frustrating while the first one, that the greatest hero that Earth has ever had, who is respected throughout the known galaxy, should be exiled for some unbelievably silly reasons, is so utterly contrived and unbelievable that it is a star off just for the silly idea itself.

Luckily, the exile does not last very long and Alexander is soon back in space doing what he does best. Kick alien invader butt. This book is the first book in the second trilogy about Alexander Galaxus. I have actually read the next one already so I hope that I do not mix them up too much when writing this. The third one is not yet out.

The book continues in the tradition set up by the first three books with a fair amount of action, both in space and dirtside. Alexander is the same uberhero as in the previous books. The book sets up the scene for the coming clash with the Methuselans but, unfortunately there are also some "domestic" issues which clouds the skies. Nevertheless, true to his habit Alexander comes out on top on most occasions with more than a few surprises for the Methuselans. That is not to say that Alexander, as well as Terra and the Calactics are in deep shit with the numerically vastly superior Methuselan war machine knocking on the door. And thus the stage is set for the rest of the trilogy...

I think it is safe to say that, if you liked the first books, you will like this one as well although it is, in my opinion, not as good as the previous two due to the silly was it starts off.

Bottom line for me is that it was a very enjoyable book and, as I stated above, I have already read the next one in the series and are looking forward to the third one which, according to the book ending is due out "Spring 2013".

OK, first let me tell you all that this is not a book that is going to be in an English Lit class nor will it likely be mentioned in a survey of Science Fiction books. This is about a $0.99 book but hey I bought it at $2.99 so what do I know? I love sci-fi series

The story, don't try and read this if you have not read the prior books. It is a continuation of the first three and introduces some new characters and new villains (why you're reading I suspect). This a space opera on a grand scale and while some of the characters are interesting they are not represented well enough that the grand sweep of the story is well represented I mean this story covers multiple civilizations and a third of the Milky Way galaxy so it is pretty broad. There are some fun characters you will meet again, Nazeera the Elder of Chem and the Captain of the Sub Gargarin is a great character who deserves to be fleshed out more. Alexander is well ... Can't say to much more as I don't want this to be a spoiler. There are some nice touches with some new characters who are minor in this but one may take on a more pronounced role in future books, unfortunately a fun character won't, too be he served up one of the nicer touches in the entire book before his demise

Also, the author is an Islamophobe and inserted some nasty Islamic characters doing horrible things to innocent victims. Now everyone is more than welcome to hate who you like but what is strange is then the subject never comes up again? Kind of like gratuitous sex but it is inserted for an incomprehensible reason? It doesn't spoil the story to let you know that modern Rangers off the bad guys. I should tell all I am biased as I am an old Ranger so basically anything story with them is interesting to me

The author I suspect is very conservative yet he has some Socialist tendencies, even though he rails against Communism (like its prevalent) he has a military government who makes sure everyone has food and drink will never be hungry again, etc etc. Quite a mix of political philosophies. There are also some mixup's on Syntax here and there, the story could use an editor, for example he mixes up the lineage of birth parents an obvious error that an editor should have found. It is not bad but it would be three stars with a good editor

Should you buy this book? Yes if you liked the first three there is a fifth book scheduled and I may buy that, we'll see
