The new self-titled ALEV album is something not to be missed!
Not only has the band evolved vocally, from former leadsinger to a new face - namely Alexandra Janzen and thus broadened their musical/vocal spectrum but they also made a huge turn in their path musically. Every song could pass off as a single. Each song has you believing them. Each song takes you on a musical journey.
There are the softer, breakable songs like 'Unique' and 'Break my Cover' which could be played on any radio station worldwide as well as songs like 'Where Are You', 'Crawling Under', 'Stained Lies', 'Devotion' that make you wanna jump up and scream 'YEAH! Let's rock it'. Then you'll find the faster and harder songs, 'Disconnected' and 'Institutionalized' where ALEV really show their evolution musically. The songs are intense, rip you away from normalcy and take you down a dark and dirty road, created for real rockstars!
The album starts off pounding, then relaxes and soothes you, then picks up again and finally ends with their first Cd single 'At The Right Time' which is art in itself. Could be compared to Massive Attacks' 'Teardrop'. Yes, that good!
These guys have talent, energy, drive and a live act you have NEVER seen before! When they come on stage and start rocking, you can't help but wish they'd never stop...

Ich kann jedem nur anraten, hier mal reinzuhören und dann umgehend die nächste Gelegenheit zu nutzen, ALEV live zu sehen! - Solange Konzerte der Band (noch) erschwinglich sind und nicht in Stadien stattfinden...
Dieses Album ist ein absoluter Leckerbissen! Und dennoch: Live sind ALEV tatsächlich noch ein kleines bisschen besser als auf CD!
In der Türkei hat die Band übrigens längst Star-Status: das Video läuft im Fernsehen Schleife und in Teenie-Zeitschriften gibt's als Beilage Poster von ALEV.

So, wer auf supergute Musik steht hat an dieser scheibe sicherlich nichts auszusetzen . Die vorhergehenden Alben waren schon super aber mit der neuen
Stimme und dem neuen Elan der Band ist dieses Album der Hammer und daher sehr zu empfehlen
