This first book of Aghora is written by a Westerner who travelled to India to study Ayurveda (indian medicine) and met a powerful Tantric (Vimalananda). The 3 books written by him contain Vimalanandas teachings as expressed by him, and through several captivating stories and incidents. Aghora is the apotheosis of Tantra and a "must read" for anyone interested in the true nature of Tantra. It includes subjects such as the nature of Shiva and Shakti, descriptions of different kinds of Spirits, the mysteries behind Sex and Celibacy and much more. This book might change your whole spiritual worldview.

This book is truly outstanding. It is like Autobiography of a Yogi but goes far beyond what the beginning seeker needs to hear. It covers all facets of life and discusses spirits and many other celestial beings and their activities. Robert Svoboda has established his credibility with his intelligent and well written books on Ayurveda and Jyotish. I highly recommend this book to anyone fascinated by the spiritual realms.

The book gave me a wonderful peek into the mind of a tantric!

Somehow, after reading this book, I fear nothing....death, pain, money! I realised that my death will be as historic as a death of a cell in my body, which is pretty mundane!
