This guide covers the 20 arrondissements of Paris, and has been completely updated, adding the best new finds and casting out those that don’t warrant your visit!

Check out our new Restaurant Updates Web Page! Visit often as changes/updates are posted between guide publications, as well as reviews for new restaurants discovered in daily dining experiences.

Adrian Leeds has been writing this guide since 1996, not long after she moved to Paris as a permanent resident. She began ferreting out charming, little out-of-the-way places that tourists likely won’t find easily, and where great meals can be found for very good value. She is uniquely qualified to write a restaurant guide as she has been dining out at least twice per day in Paris for the past ten (or more!) years.

France is world famous for its cuisine, and with thousands of restaurants in Paris, it’s no wonder the decision about where to eat can be overwhelming. But, Adrian believes every dining experience should be a delight, and not a single meal should be wasted on bad food.

This guide tells you how to dine in Paris for a lot less and a lot better! These are the good-value restaurants you need to be in-the-know to know about! And that will make you an ‘insider,’ too.

While the guide offers a selection of Adrian Leeds’ favorite top 100 Paris restaurants, you’ll also discover little known dining tips:
• How to ‘flirt’ with the wait staff to get great service
• How to handle the tax and tip like a pro
• How to read a French menu to enhance your dining experience
• What times to dine and how to dress for the occasion
• ...and much more!

The guide is arranged by the 20 arrondissements (districts) of Paris, so no matter where in the city you find yourself, you can also find a great restaurant and a great meal. With the guide in hand, you can save lots of euros while eating and drinking like royalty!

Bon Appétit!

“I can't claim to have tried Adrian's recommendations in all the quartiers, but regarding mine -- the 6th arrondissement -- and others nearby, she's straight on, with (unlike some cheap eats guides) a high standard and reliable palate.”

Diane Johnson, Author of "Le Divorce"

"For two decades, Adrian Leeds has prowled the grandest of the grands boulevards, the most intimate of the tiny impasses of Paris, eating her way through the entire range of French gastronomy. Now, she’s given us her intimate guide to 100 favorite finds, not to mention her dos and don’ts of how best to enjoy them, along with a valuable glossary to help even novice would-be Francophiles navigate their way through the thickets of a Parisian menu. A must-read, must-carry guide to all that is just so wonderful about dining out in Paris."

David A. Andelman, Editor, World Policy Journal; former Paris correspondent, CBS News

"This brand new carefully vetted restaurant guide is absolutely marvelous, trustworthy — and Adrian, the author is too! I highly recommend you download her guide — it’s where the French eat — and affordable and absolutely top notch. This lady is a dynamo!"

Kathleen Spivack, Author and Poet, winner of many literary prizes and nominatee for a Pulitzer Prize

Wonderfully helpful! Wish I had Adrian's useful guide with me the last time I was in Paris! And here's to the handy culinary dictionary in the back!

Kristin Espinasse, author of "Words in a French Life"

2.0 von 5 Sternen Nice book but outdated 2. März 2012

Came from Paris last night. With me I had this book on my phone and in my Ipad. I went to four of the restaurants in this book and of these four three no longer existed and the fourth had new owners and was something completely different than said in the book. After this I stopped reading this book since it took to much time from my paristrip looking for restaurants without knowing if they even exist.

5.0 von 5 Sternen You can't go wrong in any of the restaurants recommended 27. Juni 2011

I have been following Adrian Leed's restaurant guide since 2001 when it was only available in print form. The tips she give are great and, as she promises, you will eat very well for a lot less money. Most of the establisments she recommends are not frequented by tourits but by real Parisiens who know the best places to eat. And don't worry - most of the waiters in Paris speak at least a little English so don't shy away if your French is not fluent or non-existant. What makes this Guide even better is that you can load it onto you Ipod, Ipad, Kendle etc and have it with you where ever you are in Paris. So instead of planning you day around your choice of resturant, just open the guide and find out what is close to your exact location when you are ready to eat. She gives the phone number, website, and email address so if you want to call ahead for reservations it is all there. With this new electronic form, she has included a google map feature that makes it incredibly easy to find the place you are looking for. It is all right there in a snap! At $3.00 for the elctronic down-load you would be crazy not to buy it. I have both forms - the printable form so I can brows at my leisure and the electronic form for when I am on the run. I didn't think the guide could be any better but this newest version is amazing!!!

3.0 von 5 Sternen My Version of Cheap isn't the same as hers! 24. November 2012

Ms. Leeds clearly knows her way around a table in Paris. Her descriptions were specific, and recommendations seemed well balanced between price and value. It was all still way out of my price range! I guess I was expecting more of a Rick Steves version of "Cheap..Restaurants," this was not even close! There is a difference between Cheap and Good Value for the money.

That said, it was certainly a great list of great restaurants that are priced lower than some of their kindred restaurants, so if you have plenty of money to spend and you want great value for your money and not just a lot of expensive PR, this is the book for you. Actually, I'm rather jealous that I don't have the kind of money to spend on dining out in Paris that it would take to fully utilize the book, ~sigh~. I'll have to stick with my old buddy, Rick Steves, when searching for dinner recommendations... okay, maybe just one night we will splurge on Ms. Leeds suggestions! I am going to try some of her lunch suggestions, they were a bit more in keeping with the size of my wallet.

I got the kindle version of this book a couple of months before traveling to Paris and found it accurate and helpful in planning outings. If you are going to Paris on your own - not a tour - I recommend this book for sure. It helped us to plan restaurant meals in areas we were going for the day/night and we were able to anticipate the cost, dress code, atmosphere etc.

I'm a Paris freak
and Adrian really knows the good places to eat.

Paris is, among other things
"about the food"

and Adrian knows where the good food is in Paris - I can vouch for and have been to many of her recommendations - she knows what she's talking about, and she keeps up with the "movable feast"
