5.0 von 5 Sternen Great for review or extra practice 6. Januar 2011
Von A Cardona - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch|Verifizierter Kauf
I am a homeschooling mom, and I used this workbook at the beginning of the school year as a review for my second grader. It is only about 46 pages long so I couldn't use it as a curriculum for the whole year. The beginning is very easy but it gets progressively harder towards the end. It goes over, what makes a sentence, capitals, punctuation, nouns, verbs, adjectives, beginning, middle, end, and writing sentences/short stories. Most importantly it held my daughter's attention (she has ADHD and it's difficult to find material that will keep her attention), she enjoyed reading the stories, and writing the sentences. It was an inexpensive and wonderful workbook. She was a reluctant writer before, but now she really enjoys writing sentences and stories. I really can't say enough good things about it. I am now going to order the 2nd grade writing practice to supplement her current writing program.

5.0 von 5 Sternen excellent series of books 9. September 2008
Von Julie Beja - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch
We live abroad and so our kids' English isn't up to the level of their peers in the States. We'll be moving back to the States this coming year though and I wanted to be able to see where exactly my kids stood vis-a-vis their English skills, so I could then work on the areas they needed help in. I bought the reading and writing books in this series from grades 1-4. The books are not only an excellent tool in tracking where your child needs extra help or where his strengths lie - they are also loads of fun for the kids. With these books and some extra effort on the kids' part, I feel confident that we can get them at or near the appropriate level for their age by the time we move. No more guessing about what material to cover or whether particular texts are too easy or too difficult. These books make learning fun for the kids and they take a lot of the stress away for parents. I highly recommend the series!

I was happy to see that this workbook was exactly what I was looking for as a summer workbook for my son who is going into 2nd grade. It is a good recap of the topics reviewed in 1st grade.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Awesome book for kids 30. Dezember 2012
Von whiny da pooh - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

I have purchased a few workbooks for my son over the past three years and I would say that this is a good one to help the kids with sentence structure. It is not too long to become boring and the kids are able to get the main idea as they start with Capital letters and adding period at the end of a sentence.
My kid actually asked me to let him do more and he kept saying that this is a fun book. I think that is well worth the money when a kid enjoys learning and working.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Keeps the mind working 13. Juli 2012
Von K. Wilson - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch|Verifizierter Kauf
I bought this for my daughter entering first grade along with other workbooks to keep her mind working over the summer. This was a great purchase. It's challenging but not so hard that she loses interest. Unlike other books I purchased which I felt were more of a review but acceptable for keeping skills up, she's actually being introduced to new concepts in this one. It's a short workbook but for the price and quality of the lessons I'm very pleased.
